Hi, I'm 16 weeks and am finding not only am I weeing frequently but that for at least the past 8 weeks it's felt different.

It feels like it's not all coming out when I want it to, almost like something is stopping it (funny that!) My sample from last MW appt came back all fine, so no worries there but I constantly go and 'think do I need to go?' because I feel like my bladder is never empty.

Is anyone else finding this? Is it normal? Sorry if obvious! Want to mention to MW at appt next week but not sure what, if anything she can suggest!

I get that too, and a bit of weird pain. My samples also came back totally clear, I figure baby is sat on my bladder :)

Hi Spice, I'm 16 weeks to and feel exactly the same! Tested normal at mw appointment though so figure it must be down to position and pressure on the bladder. Trying to go less often now so I get a better result when I do!

And am sipping, rather than drinking - so fluid intake is more even. Only just started this though!

Hi, I am 27 weeks and have just been to the doc this afternoon convinced I had a uti. Sample clear, the doc said the baby is probably putting pressure on my bladder and pregnancy hormones weaken the bladder muscles meaning its harder to empty it.

Could be the same with you maybe?

mamij · 20/04/2012 19:23

I had that at about 34 weeks. Felt like going but sometimes couldn't and never felt empty. Sample came back after I had given birth! But showed I had urine tract infection and recommended antibiotics.

I am also 16 weeks and feeling the exact same thing!! It is extremely frustrating during the night when I have to make numerous trips to the toilet!! I had the same thing when I was pregnant with my son...I think it is simply just pressure on the bladder.

Spice17 · 20/04/2012 19:32

Thanks ladies, glad to hear it's not just me!

I also find that the flow is sometimes weak and slow and sometimes comes out fast and more like it used to. Guess the baby is just moving about on my bladder.

It's very annoying and Gemmy I agree about night time, I go at least 4 or 5 times before going to bed, to try and make sure it's all out but still wake up 2-3 times a night!

I'm 41+1 and desperately waiting to go into labour

My wees have been rubbish the whole was through!

I can't wait for a big hose pipe wee lol

oikopolis · 20/04/2012 20:37

have you tried leaning quite far forward on the loo? i've had the same problem, and leaning forward completely sorts it out. (am 18 weeks, i guess later on bump might get in the way of this)

oikopolis · 20/04/2012 20:37

what i mean is, keep your bum in place as normal, but lean forward, boobs towards knees. so babe is sort of sitting on your lap rather than on your bladder, iyswim.

CommanderShepard · 21/04/2012 18:10

I am SO looking forward to a big racehorse-style wee rather than these pathetic dribbles!

...I can't believe I just said that Blush

scarletforya · 21/04/2012 19:08

I had this. I started using a very small footstool to put my feet on while I'm on the loo. It really worked for me to totally empty my bladder. They told us this at an ante-natal class!

The stool is about a foot high, you could use some old phone books or something if you have no stool!
