Morning sickness

I may just be jinxing things here but I've not had any morning sickness! I'm 6 weeks. Should I be expecting it or could I be ( trying not to tempt fate) one of the lucky ones.
I have read that 3/4 of women get it....
Other symptoms are sore and big boobs and fatigue .... ??!?

Hi, congrats on the pregnancy! I think I was the same as you at 6 weeks and actually worrying about lack of symptoms (would be prodding my boobs about a hundred times a day to check they were still sore/swollen!) but then it gradually got worse from about 9 weeks and have just had to have 3 weeks off work as I couldn't stop being sick! It's absolutely exhausting so I hope you are one of the lucky ones! It seems like a very individual thing as I have a friend who is two weeks ahead of me and hasn't had any sickness at all.

Congratulations :)

I had a slight bleed at 5 weeks and had a scan and then panicked that I didn't have morning sickness, hit 6weeks nothing(still worried), hit 7 weeks and it was bloody horrendous. Not just morning but evening! I had to take loads of time off work. Stopped at 16 weeks when I became stupidly happy hormones Grin

Everyone is different, you may not get it at all! Fingers crossed!

Thanks bunky and midline I just don't really feel that ' pregnant' but then this is my first pregnancy! And with out any confirmation as yet I'm doing my usual thing of worrying. I then googled it [ which I know I shouldn't have] and read if u don't have it it could be due to a missed mc Sad so now my mind is in over drive and panicking about it all.
I could really just do with a bit of confirmation iykwim!

I know it's still early days but I know a lot of people who have had ms before 6 weeks.
I've got another 3 weeks until booking in and then a further 3 ( or so)until my scan - think ill have pulled my hair out by then !! Confused
Xx

Everyone is different!

My morning sickness kicked in at 7 weeks each time, in my case I worried my boobs weren't sore! Try to relax this stage and enjoy it :)

We women do worry sooo much don't we. ( i know i do) Well I feel a little more relaxed knowing that it can happen later. Double edged sword. U want it to happen so u know all is well but also don't actually want to be sick Hmm
Let's hope I am a lucky one and all is well without the ms. ( generally though I am not a sicky person so maybe that could be playing a part)

Wink xx

I didn't have any sickness in my first but with this one it's been really up and down. Nausea started within the 6th week and then I had really horrible food aversions. Im 9 weeks now and there are still lots of things that I can't eat or give me heartburn or it tastes funny. Do not enjoy food at all at the mo and im hungry all the time. Enjoy the no sickness!! Hopefully, as someone has said, you'll be one of the lucky ones.

Had no sickness, but went off food pretty much. I know that I almost wished symptoms as I wanted reassurance but all is well! Enjoy not feeling poorly! X

Congrats!!

However, I remember posting on a thread at 6 weeks that I felt fantastic and had no symptoms at all. Within 7 days I was at the emergency doctors with the start of hyperemesis! God I wish I could take that post back...

Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones. I have plenty of friends who have gone through pregnancy with very few side effects, and certainly almost none of my friends have had real morning sickness. In fact I have a friend who was healthier and more sane during her pregnancy than she was before - pregnancy suited her! Definitely don't Google and get stressed that you aren't puking or have massive boobs or want to sleep all day or your hair looks amazing! Pregnancy takes everyone in a different ways. You may find side effects coming through in the next few weeks but, fingers crossed, you might sail through your pregnancy and feel fantastic throughout. Feeling good is not always something to worry about!
