Just Braxton Hicks? Or should I be worried?

I'm 34 weeks and started getting what I think are Braxton Hicks contractions a few weeks ago, but then they seemed to stop. This week however, I've been suffering quite bad tummy pains which feel like a combination of stitch, period pain and stabby cervix pain. They usually come when I'm doing physical activity like walking the dog or seeing to my horse, but I did get them just sitting down at work the other day. Normally last about half an hour and I end up being barely able to walk. But then once its passed I'm fine most of the time apart from some period pain-like discomfort in the night. This is my first baby so no previous BH experience. Has anyone else had anything like this? Am I just being soft?!

It sounds like what I've had in previous pregnancies, but if you're worried best to check with your midwife Smile

Thanks, I'm seeing midwife today anyway, just didn't want to fuss about nothing. Would normally consider myself quite brave but this has made me worry about how much real contractions are going to hurt!!
