I am 9+5 weeks, I had my booking in stuff done last Wed, I did my wee sample and they sent it off. Got a call yesterday to say it was showing either infection or contamination and they would send a new one in the post if I wasn't feeling ill.

I have had the 'run over by a steam roller feeling' for the past week, sickness and shakes/headaches but I assumed this was normal pregnancy stuff.
I had noticed some slightly smelly wee but assumed I wasn't drinking enough so told them I was fine.

Anyway, today I have a pain in my left lower back, right down the bottom, very localised, could this be relevant or just a pregnancy stretchy ache?

In other words can ignore or should I be getting this checked anytime soon?

I would get checked. I had lower back pain localised to my left side and my booking in urine was clear, but whilst your other symptoms could just be pregnancy niggles they could also indicate a uti. It's worth getting checked.

Yup I would also say definatly get it checked, uti's can be very serious in pregnancy that's why you will notice at every appointment you do a urine sample. Please don't wait, go to the doctors tomorrow if not tonight.

uti can be quite dramatic in pregnancy. best get it checked.

I'll pop to the walk in clinic later with a fresh sample.
