Hi

I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and have been taking the sanatogen mother to be tablets which were fine but found some of my pregnacare from last year which unfortunately had mc. Anyhow I have had the most awful stomach pains and squits. I never suffered with the others and it seems to coincide with taking the pregnacare. I've been quite sick on them too which I wasn't before. Has anyone else experienced this with them?

Are they still in date? My friend gave me the ones she had leftover from her pregnancy when I was expecting, her LO was only about 6 months and they were passed their use by date already! I didn't take them so no idea if they would have given me the side effects you've described.

I'm taking them and I'm actually managing to poo in this pregnancy which is new! Perhaps what ever is helping me is too much for you?

I've never experienced the squits but they do make me queasy if I take them on an empty tummy - could just be coincidence?

are you taking them as directed in leaflet and clearly on the box - with/after main meal of the day? Folic acid can upset your tummy if it's empty.

on my ex ante natal thread a lot of us had runny tummies and it's a normal symptom of early pregnancy and the hormones fiddling around with your digestion to get more nutrients from it.

Could well be that I'm taking them on an empty stomach. Having a shut time of it of late. I just tried to get them down as thought it was better than not. Since being pregnant I've had tonsillitis twice both with ten day antibiotics, which didn't give me the trots strangely, got d n v from work and now booked into dr again for a frigging chest infection or whatever it is. Chest is sore and grotty anyway. I'm getting embarrassed about keep going to Dr's :-(. Bet they think bloody hell not her again. Not looking forward to a long weekend of going to work and a toddler that's not sleeping as well. Anyway that's my whinge for the day. Will try and eat something but it tends to come back up:-(

Thanks for replies tho xx

I take pregnacare and my poo also errrr flows a bit more freely. No tummy aches though! Maybe go back to the ones you were taking before?
