Bleeding after DTD in early PG - shld I worry?

Hello,

I'm 4 weeks + 4, only got my BFP on Monday so v v early days. I know things often go wrong and disappear at this point. DH and I DTD this morning and afterwards there was bright red blood, that was from inside (so not like a tear at the entrance iyswim).

Don't have cramps to speak of but not many pg symptoms either (I know its a bit early). Last test yesterday was definitely positive.

Have been frantically googling and apparently could be cervical cells that get more blood to them during pg, but isn't it a bit early for that? Also could be breakthrough bleeding or implantation... But I think that's supposed o be brown blood right?

Am really worried that it's an early mc. Any words of wisdom?

Do you have a midwife yet? If so I would ring her for advice. I had this too although I was 8.5 weeks and it was because I have a polyp on my cervix that had been caught during sex and bled even though I felt no pain. I'm sure yours is similar but ring your midwife or GP to see what they say.

I had quite a bit of bleeding throughout my early pregnancies (between 5 and 10 weeks) and was told by a sonographer that sex can cause bleeding. I have had one suceesful pregnancy, two losses and am curently 18 weeks with no 2.

Fingers crossed that all turns out ok for you, only time will tell I'm afraid, there is nothing you can do either way. If it was me I would be obsessively testing but then I am a nutter.

In my area the midwives won't see you before you are 8 weeks pg. You need to see the GP first to get referred to the MW.

It's so worrying isn't it. All you can do is try to enjoy your holiday.

Thank you. No further bleeding and no cramping etc so am hoping all is well. Will take it easy for a few days and make my first appointment with the dr next week. It would be great if I could get an early scan in a few weeks when they can see a heartbeat!!
