shit. have had watery discharge that pooled a bit so went in this eve - terrified of internals but I was brave and expected them to say ar it's nothing....but it is inconclusive as there is watery stuff there but they don't know if they are waters or not! fuck it. so have to go back to hosi in morning for scan to look at fluid levels around my small wee one. has anyone else had this? if it is waters am I likely to have a very early baby? hellpp xx

Don't panic. If it is your waters they may advise bed rest. The waters will replenish themselves and the hospital will want to keep a close eye on your temperature to monitor the risk of infection. I think if you're not having contractions then they'd only want to deliver baby if they were worries about infection. There have been a few stories on MN of waters going v early but babies staying put for several weeks.

Hopefully it's not your waters but good luck for the morning. Let us know how you get on x

Hope all is well today. I had a leak at 24 weeks but the sac resealed. I was very closely monitored with scans, swabs and blood tests and had steroids just in case. He stayed put for almost another 11 weeks and is currently fighting with his older brother! Take Care x

hello ladies back in warm home having cuppa. they said baby had plenty fluids around and didn't think it was waters but to go straight back if it happens again... confusion really over whether discharge can be clear... which it seem it can, so if i get it again i wont rush for another inconclusive spec exam! t
hanks so much for your posts, they really helped.
