I feel so full up even just after a sandwich - how can this be?

I am still trying to establish if I am pregnant, but If I am I would be 5 weeks and this is how I feel. Not massive appetite, get full quickly and feel sick just after eating.

I hope this is a sign to me.

Hope you can eat more soon :) x

Have you tested laurasomerset?

Yes, I have done 3 and all come back negative, feel like I have lot of symptoms (hopefully not just in my head), I'm 11 days late now. x

I would leave it for another week and then go to the DR's. Not wishing to put any downer on things, but it might not be a pg in which case you need to investigate.

oikopolis · 17/04/2012 16:44

i felt like this too. (am 18 weeks now)

they do say that progesterone slows down everything in your digestive system (which is why you also tend to get constipated during pg). i think this includes how fast your stomach empties, so you get full quicker. plus, the slowing down also = tons of bloating/gas, which leaves less room in the tum!!

i would be ravenous and order a burger or something, tear into it like a hyena, and then have to throw away half of it because i suddenly felt SO full!

normal i think. congratulations :) and i hope you get good news soon Laura

I was like this from 6 to 9ish weeks. I got so full so easily and my tummy looked enormous afterwards, so bloated! I found that eating little and often helped.

LauraSomerset · 17/04/2012 16:50

Thanks shushpenfold, I agree, I am going to wait, but have pretty much figured that I would have got a positive by now.

I'll et you know if there is any change.

:)

twizzlestix · 17/04/2012 18:18

I had this until about 18 wks and still at 20+3 I can't eat a whole dinner but it is better.

lizzywig · 17/04/2012 18:24

LauraSomerset my friend was 14 days late, about 100 negative tests later and she had a positive one 2 days ago. So you never know...

EggsMichelle · 17/04/2012 19:58

OMG the bloat! It's killing me this week, I look 20wks not the 7wks that I am. And it can just appear in the space of 10mins, cripple me with pain then go just as quickly. Luckily I have a semi private office at work, and I don't have to suffer until I find a toilet every time!!!

PinkPepper · 18/04/2012 16:19

I lost most my appetite till I was about 20 weeks (had morning sickness from about 9-16 weeks tho)

But it came back with a vengeance and at 29 weeks I am slightly regretting just going to tesco on my own and grabbing anything I fancy Blush

Naisy · 18/04/2012 16:24

I can empathise with that yellowflowers! Still feel the same way at 16 weeks!

shushpenfold · 18/04/2012 16:56

Good luck LauraSomerset - hope it's good news! x

Spice17 · 19/04/2012 10:01

Yes I've had the same, could eat a lot before (quite greedy really!) but being pregnant has meant I actually leave food now as just too full to force it in :) Am 16 weeks btw.
