How long were you in labour?

I ended up having an EMCS with DC1 and am currently 27 weeks pregnant with DC2 and considering a VBAC. My consultant has advised not labouring beyond 12hrs so was wondering about others' experiences (i.e how realistic this time frame might be)with their DC's.

Thanks

I woke up at 5.20am with period type aches and realised I was having contractions by6am and had DS at 11.09am, actual pushing was about 5 minutes, I just did 4 massive pushes!

I was induced and it took 12 hours but they used forceps in the end at DS was too large (9lb 13!). Worth it in the end though my body is still getting back to normal as DS is 3months old now.
