Hi
My dr mentioned the need to take folic acid (which I've been taking for 6 months any ways ) but didn't mention anything else yet I've read that I should be taking vit d.

Im really confused as to What vitamins i should /shouldn't be taking for the little bean to get the best start? Any one offer any advice?

Thanks mn'ers!

I just take a Pregnacare combination tablet (a Wilkos own brand one) that seems to cover everything. I think you can stop the folic acid at 3 mos but as it's in the one I buy, just carried on. My iron is normally low and been taking these for around 6 mos now (inc the 2 before I was pregnant) and iron levels came back as good in recent bloods, so I was very happy that it was working!

I too take a multi vit specifically for pregnancy. I asked about extra vitD at my 16 week appointment and my midwife said it wasn't neccesary, although I keep reading it is now advised.
Maybe I'll get some...!

I rang my midwife up about vitamins as I thought I may be low on iron she suggested going to my local sure start centre and ask them for the pregnancy vitamins and they cost 91p for 60 tablets. So if you have a sure start centre worth popping in and asking :)
