Does anyone know truely how bad they are in pregnancy? I avoided them like the plague in my first pregnancy however they seem to be added to quite a lot of products.

no problems unless you are sensitive. sulphites are usually used to preserve the colour in foods like red wine and dried fruits. they are only used in tiny quantities.

Mousy so great, I can go ahead and enjoy some M&S fruit pastels I have been craving since yesterday. Had fruit and fibre this morning and there were sulphites added to that I found out after looking at the packet! I wonder how much these small quantities add up...
