Fecking 'ell. Heavy cold and sore throat

Can it affect baby? I mean can it cross the placenta. I'm snotting and coughing like a good'en here

aww mcphee how are you feeling? horrid isn't it. i had a cold and posted exactly the same thing. was reassured that only a prolonged high temp could do damage. do watch out though, lots of horrid cough's around including whooping apparently! if it lingers,, get it checked. raw garlic helped me.. seriously. chop up into swallow size, don't chew, just swallow like pill with water. 1 clove a day. lovely but helped me recover in about 4 days. get well soon.

I feel wretched, and annoyingly the cough keeps making me vomit . I've taken to having a few lockets, which my midwife said was ok, and they seem to help a bit. But oh god, the sneezing and weeing at the same time is oh so glamorous
