Am 5 weeks pg so very early days but I have a bad cough and every time I have a coughing fit I leak. I'm doing pelvic floors obviously but am I doomed to nine months of wet knickers? And what do I do - just get tena? see doc and physio? Maybe it'll stop when cough clears [hopeful face]

Same issue here. It started after DC1, with this pg #2, coughing and sneezing are synonym to wet knickers... Now 24 weeks, I have to focus and tighten the pelvic floor before authorising myself to cough... GP said that pelvic floor exercises are useless until baby comes out. I am still doing them though... If it helps, thats good. If it doesn't, well, I have not lost anything trying, have I? Good luck

I suffered too. Puking and peeing myself at the same time was incredibly depressing. I think the huge hormone rush relaxes ligaments including the muscles that control your bladder so even if the baby is still weeny your pelvic floor still suffers. Mine recovered fine after each birth so don't worry!

I have suffered too. I'm 20 weeks with DC2 and have peed myself once to the extent that I had to change trousers and knickers and twice where I have had to change my knickers. I have to tighten up before sneezing these days. Oh the glamour!!

me too! great innit!?

my pelvic floor is ruined beyond all repair i think...

i already have 2 kids and this pregnancy is dribbly to say the least. the usual coughing / sneezing etc is noticable, but it seems to leak a tiny bit without me even knowing it too. tena lights are great though, and im not even embarrased to buy them, though i thought i would be mortified :)

clench and relax!
