I was big before pregnancy but now I'm a double H. My boobs hurt all the time and have ince about 8 weeks despite having had fitted soft maternity bra, extra cushions in bed. Most of the time its a dull ache but a lot of the time its enough to keep me awake at night. I cant find a night bra to fit. Also they itch a lot of the time which is driving me mad.

The only relief I seem to get is going on my hands and knees and letting them hang in a warm bath but this is hardly practical for the next 17 weeks Grin

No advice I'm afraid, but just wanted to say that I'm experiencing the exact same thing. The itchiness in particular is unbearable, but my nipples are also unbelievably sore. Finding a comfortable sleeping position is a nightmare.

I'm 22 weeks and a double F.

What are we going to do??!

Mine aren't as big as yours so this might not help but I bought an m and s vest top with built in bra to sleep in - soft and comfy but gives me enough support to stop me waking in agony.

vest

Had a quick google, this looks like it although mine is bright green (from an m and s outlet so might have been last seasons)

hmm, reading reviews it might not be any good as most have said not great for bigger than a D, sorry. If you have an m and s store maybe go and try one on.

Have you tried a good, gentle moisturiser for the itching? I found my skin itched as it stretched - it'll prob happen on your bump in a few weeks!!

Have you tried going to a larger bra fitting expert? Bravissimo or Rigby & Pellet. The latter will def be expensive (if you buy something!!) but you'll def get an expert fitting & might find something comfortable to wear at night too. The more support you have, the more comfortable you will hopefully feel, plus you'll probably need some support for post-birth too, esp if bf, so the expense may be worth it.

Good luck.

J cup? crikey!

I'm going to do your "dipping them in a warm bath" trick before bed tonight - even if just for a short relief. I can only imagine how dignified it looks, I'll definitely have to lock the bathroom door! :o

faintpinkline · 15/04/2012 21:23

chunkychicken I got the soft bras from bravissimo and they do help a bit. Might try getting another to wear at nights. I'll look at moustorising cream, I hadn't thought of it being stretching skin

tearoomtrash afraid its not very dignified looking but we're pregnant and going to give birth so lets face it dignity will fly out the window anyway

. You poor things, Also second bravissimo being fab - and great for both pregnancy and breast feeding. Also can recommend the free NCT bra fitting service - they have local trained volunteers .

Hope it helps faintpinkline :)

I had terrible tenderness for ages, and that improved when I bought better fitting bras... I am a E/EE.. and a 'big girl' lol

I still have terrible shooting pains, mostly through my left nipple... and only thing that helped was the above advice of lying in a warm bath! I am nearly 36 weeks now :S
