Hi,
I am 9 days overdue and had a sweep yesterday. When she put her fingers in ... only a small way she said ''ohh i can feel the head'' then said she could almost see the head! By the sounds of what she said yesterday she had to move or do something to my cervix. Then When i looked at my notes last night i couldnt understand her writting so will write what i think it says then let me know what you think it means!

1st we have Membrane sweep and ... Conseat Hocked? Unsure if that is the word as i cannot read her writting! And above that we have just 10L or IOL?

My cervix is effaced (understood that part) but then it says ... postenar...?? as i said cant read her writting.
Then it says ''unable to do .... '' something as i cannot make out her writting ... looks like achos.. or could be ''unable to ... to be honest havnt a clue??? lol!
Then we have Cephalic ... i understand that but after it says ...
'At spines' ... what does that mean?
This makes hardly any sense to me and googling it is coming up a blank!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thankyou! x

I would ring her and tell her that you can't read her writing - I asked my doctor to explain what he'd written.

Hi,
Difficult to decipher it all but I'd guess:

Consent checked (for sweep)
IOL = induction of labour
Posterior? Maybe posterior cervix
At spines refers to how far down the head has come in relation to your pelvis.

No idea what she was unable to do sorry!

I wouldn't worry so much about what's written - I'm sure she would have told you the main findings and when she plans to see you next (if you don't go into labour in the meantime!)? If you're not sure why don't you give her a ring tomorrow.

Hope this helps x
