When are they meant to start?

We were ttc (well actually we had stopped for a break - typical!) but I only tested because AF was a couple of days late.

I don't feel any different! Honestly, no clue at all that I am pg.

So when are the sore boobs, mood swings, odd tastes, tiredness, nausea etc supposed to start? My BFP was clear as day tbh but I can't get to the doctors for at least a week, so should I be worried if some symptoms don't start to appear?

Saying that, my jeans feel tight already but I think that's all the Easter chocolate Blush

Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones who doesn't have morning sickness, tiredness, etc. Don't worry, everyone's different. Think of all those stories you read about women not knowing they were pregnant until the final months.

And by the way - CONGRATULATIONS!

SpottyTeacakes · 14/04/2012 17:35

Mind started at about six weeks I think. Congratulations Smile

GinPalace · 14/04/2012 17:37

Anytime - all very different. Could be a few weeks.

Don't bother with the doctors they won't have anything to say to you except maybe take your blood pressure to appease you. I did this with my first and it was a waste of time for both of us.

Just get in touch with your local midwife service and ask for a 'booking in' appointment. That gets the ball rolling with your scan schedule, blood checks etc.

I am nearly 5 weeks pregnant with no sign of any symptoms. I keep having to do pregnancy tests to make sure I am still up the duff!

CupOfBrownJoy · 14/04/2012 17:38

thanks, its sunk in a bit now and I'm over the moon Grin

Hope I'll be lucky then!! Although knowing me I'll get hyperemesis or something - I can't imagine I'll be the "glowy" type, more the "knackered and fat" type Smile

I'm in Germany and I really don't know how it works over here.

I think I'll get DP to confide in his best mate who has 2 kids. They can then point us in the right direction (DP is as clueless as me Smile )

Congratulations FriendofDorothy - were you an ESH? I think I recognise your name.

Yep. I am an ESH. I am sticking with the BESH until I get my head around it all!

Congratulations btw :)

twizzlestix · 14/04/2012 23:02

No symptoms until 6.5 weeks. Congratulations :)

Whysoserious · 15/04/2012 00:14

I don't think I really got any symptoms until 8 weeks! I think the only symptom that you can pretty much guarantee you will get is a missed period. And a BFP Grin

Congratulations!

I am pregnant with my second (4 weeks!) and don't have any symptoms. With my first, it wasn't until about 15 weeks when my trousers got tight that I felt "pregnant" - I would sometimes surprise myself by looking down and seeing the bump.

AlpinePony · 15/04/2012 07:16

The history of ESH dictates that morning sickness will kick in at 6+3! Wink

I shan't tell you how I got on with mine...

Btw, I suppose you'll be wanting those pregnancy supplements now eh!?

AliceHurled · 15/04/2012 08:25

I got symptoms as soon as I knew. Nothing before that. Didn't know till about 5 weeks though

PickleSarnie · 15/04/2012 08:43

The only symptom I had that early was a dodgy tummy. I had more symptoms on the months I wasn't pregnant.

Then about 7 weeks both times they kicked in with a vengeance. Eurrrgh.

CupOfBrownJoy · 15/04/2012 09:43

Right, well I'll enjoy the next couple of weeks then before all the crappy sickness hits!!

Erm yes please Alpine - can't believe we were chatting away about delaying conception on Friday and there was I, pg the whole time!!! Smile
