I have gained just over a stone - is this normal ? I am really worried as my change in tastes since being PG has put me off a lot of veggies ( even though I am one) and more on to fruit , cake and sweets . I still do well on the cheese too - am worried my diet hasn't been great bit just feel I have to eat what I fancy !!! Anyone else find this ?

Have also just started to struggle with back pain and breathlessness this week. I do a lot of dog walking though - just slower now .

If your MW is not worried nor should you be :).

I'm 36 weeks and I've put a stone on. I think the amount that you are able to healthily put on is to do with how big you are pre-pregnancy so according to my midwifes charts I am still able to put on N additional half a stone.

Saying that, I was weighed at my booking in and she hasn't done it again since. It's been me weighing myself out on interest (especially after putting on 3 stone in my last pregnancy!!).

I'm 33 weeks and I've put on 15lbs. Still fitting into my normal size 8 jeans. The MW doesn't seem concerned that it's not too much.

Are you worried it's too little, or too much? x

NHS_weightgaininpregnancy

That's a normal/lowish amount of weight to have gained.

I guess I am just surprised that my diet has possibly worsened but my weight is not as high as I thought !

I'm veggie too and I often find that the more crap I eat the less I weigh (no nutrients I guess). When I'm on a health kick however, I can put a few lbs on.

As long as you feel healthy then I'm sure you'll be fine :)
