What do mums and mums-to-be think of this in Worcestershire:
www.worcestershire.gov.uk/cms/from-bump-to-baby.aspx ?

How do I put this nicely?

I thought the website itself started out great and has a good idea behind it. Make the video turn off or mute if I have already started seeing it once...

I just couldn't be bothered with the content knowing it was written by someone who thinks there is such a thing as a normal birth and the other births. Couldn't a council get anyone with decent knowledge of pregnancy to edit that nonsense? Thanks for making all the expecting mums faced with the c-section choice think they've failed before they've started... or have you already decided that we are too posh to push before figuring out why we are being cut open? Prejudiced much?

By the way is that normal birth a sneeze birth on gas and air or a water birth? at home or in a birthing unit? With an epidural or is the person who wrote that having nightmares at the thought? or is normal the hypnobirth orgasming birth? or maybe babies aren't fish so it is abnormal for them to listen to whale music at birth??? The 36 hour marathon which ends with a ventouse, normal or "other"?

On a more constructive note, i believe you are trying to promote births with minimum intervention... All births are normal. Except if I am giving birth to a toad. I better go get that scan pic again to make sure...

No idea, I only use the Internet on my mobile and the site doesn't work!

Umm, sorry but given that the national NHS website - www.nhs.uk - has a comprehensive pregnancy and parenting guide, wouldn't it be a much better use of resources to link to that rather than create a whole new site? I just think in the current financial crisis there's no justification for spending money on duplicating effort and I would worry about the money diverted from other council services to produce this website.

Sorry
