This pregnancy malarky is starting to grate on me now, where is the glowing?? I'm nearly 18 weeks so into the second trimester and I still feel awful!!

So far today alone, I've had yet another bout of morning sickness (despite not having this for 3 whole glorious days!) I've had 3 nose bleeds and the restless legs is hitting me during the day now :( and I'm getting cramps in my legs!!

I'm going to the midwife later on this afternoon, I'm going to menttion all these things but is there anything you guys can suggest??

This is my second pregnancy and I had stopped being sick weeks ago and had no nose bleeds and the cramps only hit me towards the end!!

This is soo my last PG!! Never again (until I get broody and I'll probably consider it!)

Try banana milk shakes for cramps, also help morning sickness if you can stomach it that is!

I had cramps in my legs at night, really bad the last time and I got a tip from here about wizzing up a banana in milk and drinking before bed. totally worked!

I shall try but I'm not sure it will help!! The midwife suggested I try magnesium for the restless legs and as the morning sickness is so infrequent so to keep notes of when it happens and what I've eaten, if anything, and she'll have a look and I might notice a pattern myself.

The nose bleeds are common but as they aren't too bad to not worry and if they get worse at any point then call her!

Feel so much better now, thanks for the suggestion mrswee!

Well I can tell you anecdotally that vitamin b6 is brilliant for morning sickness - this was discovered by a friend who didn't feel sick when she ate marmite on toast in the mornings, so took a supplement and hey ho it wasn't as bad, as for the restless legs I have suffered from them so badly in the past, and recently I had to stop taking strong painkillers due to being pregnant and got awful RL as a side effect, and I know I gt it badly in pregnancy anyway so spoke to the health food shop lady who gave me a magnesium supplement with added B6. So far the RL have eased and I haven't really had any morning sickness at all.

Definitely worth a try Grin

Drink tonic water for the restless legs. The bubbles help with the sickness too!

Its worked wonders for me so worth a try Smile

I'm off into town tomorrow so may have to see if they have any of that in! And I shall take it with the tonic water! Doubly good for me lol, here's hoping anyway as its getting slightly annoying now!

Thanks!!

I've heard the tonic water thing too, my granny told me it in fact so t's probably very helpful!

I had to just use to the tonic water this morning, the bannana smoothie made me gag last night...

So far so good!!

Hope you get some relief from it soon xx

Magnesium tablets helped with my leg cramps too.

I'm 37 weeks...I think in the last 37 weeks, I've only felt 'glowing' maybe 3 times? And one of those was after 2 glasses of Champagne on New Year's Eve. So maybe 'drunk' more than 'glowing'.

sasslejaney84 · 12/04/2012 10:40

Well so far I've not been sick!! Yay! Although, it could hit later on Confused

bike I'm going into the health food shop in about an hour and I'm hoping I can get some there and get this sorted, I think my OH is getting sick of getting booted by me randomly when we are laid in bed!!

sarry I think I was being naïve to think my 27yr old body would handle pregnancy just as well as my 19 year old one did!! Shame that's backfired!!! After two glasses of champagne I think I would possibly be drunk too!!
