Just a quick question really while its late and I cant ask my midwife, I woke up this morning with a stabbing pain in my bump which has stayed with me all day, its a bit like a stitch on one side, Ive not had braxton hicks today or anything else that id be worried about but it doesnt seem to be settling down at all, im 38 + 4 so waiting for it all to kick off really and wondered if this is a sign or whether I just have a stitchy bump and a bad case of wishful thinking?

I had the stitch/stabbing pain with DD it turned out she had flipped and become breech, but you're probably a bit far gone for a baby to change positions. Ring the hosp if you're worried xx

I dont know if I am or im not, hence canvassing for opinions really, its bloody painful but it is only in one spot, which is really tender to touch as well. Im hoping that its not anything urgent being as my stupid other half has chosen tonight of all nights to go out and get trollied - when did your baby switch position?

Sorry I fell asleep. I think it was about 35-36 weeks and she flipped back about a week later. The stitch pain I assume was her head stretching the skin and putting pressure on my ribs. Hope you're feeling better this morning!
