First time mum to be looking to make new friends

Hi there,

I am a first time mum to be and am currently 18 weeks.
Trying to figure out how this website works and I am interested in meeting other first time mums to be and making new friends.

Does anyone know if there are due date groups to join?

It's my first time too. I'm currently 38 weeks so playing the waiting game at the moment.

Hiya Oikopolis, thanks for the link, trying to work my way around this site is daunting. Is that the sep 2012 birth club and do you just post in it to start meeting people? I am not technically minded at all. lol.

Hi I have joined my local NCT yoga class and met so many first time mums to be it has been brilliant can highly recommend it plus it's a great way to relax

yes that is the sept 2012 birth club, we're all due at the same time basically.

you can just post there, introduce yourself and start nattering about what's on your mind :) also if you need advice re: pregnancy, you can start by asking in there.

thanks for the congrats :) i am feeling FAB now, compared to how utterly dreadful my "morning" sickness was from weeks 8-14ish!! truly horrid! am full of energy and looking healthy these days!

My due date is 24th April so I'm counting the days! We found out and we're having a little boy. DH is ecstatic, I didn't really care either way.

Sounds like you're about to head into the exciting stuff of feeling better, first movements etc. It's such a fantastic feeling, I love being pregnant.
