Help please

I am approx 10 days late for my period. 2 tests have come back negative. But my breasts are sore, I am shockingly tired. A bit weepy. Feel hot.
If I am pregnant, can't get a doctors appointment yet, I can't remember the first day of my last period. I remember them being quite shirty with me before. Can I get an accurate date any other way?

I am over 40, so a bt of a shock.

Are you on any contraceptive medication etc? It could be that you've just ovulated late if you're not on the pill, which would push back your period start date, or it could be the early stages of an early menopause?

If you're 10 days late and you're getting negatives, chances are you're not pregnant - but if nothing's turned up in a week it would be worth seeing your GP.

I have absolutely no idea/experience at all of this but could it be menopause coming early? (please don't shout me down if thats a totally ridiculous suggestion) Aren't some of the 'symptoms' similar?

Thanks for your replies. I'm not on any contraceptive medicines. DH coming home with another test tonight. The test are pretty accurate aren't they? Even the slightest scrap of pregnancy hormones makes th test show positive doesn't it?

With all my pregnancies I was 5 weeks pregnant before I got positive results from pregnancy tests. Sorry.
So I was 2/3 weeks late with my period at least.

Oh god. My previous pregnancies have always been diagnosed pretty sharpish with a home test though.

Sorry to post here. I realise I may be insensitive posting here when I so don't want to be pregnant. I have tested negative again this evening so need to try to get hold of a doctor I think. I am so worried I haven't eaten all day. But thanks so much for your replies. Lovely to talk to you all when you think your world is upside down.
