...but how often should I see my midwife? I'm 14+4, consultant led and have had various visits and scans to hospital but no midwife visit since my booking in appointment around 6 weeks. I've just been reading about midwife appointments and stared wondering if I should see the midwife between now and my 20 week scan?

I don't think I did until 16 weeks, then every 4 weeks after that.

You see the midwife at 16 weeks and then again at 20 I think.

Ring your midwife and ask, they won't mind and it will put your mind at rest!

When I was PG with my first I was constantly calling my midwife and asking what I thought were 'silly' questions and they were fine with it!!

I'll dig out my notes and find a number to call her on this week - cheers

Once you have the number, put it in your mobile, along with the number for the labour ward of the local hospital you will be giving birth at, a trick I learnt in my last pregnancy, that way you have it to hand!!

I saw mine for booking at about 7 weeks, had scan at 12 (not with midwife) I'm now seeing her again at 16 weeks. Then scan at 20 weeks (again not with mw) and see her every 4 weeks after that.
