Second pregnancy bump size

I didn't have a bump until about 18 weeks first time round and wasn't in maternity clothes until about 22 weeks. I'm 14 weeks now and my bump is alreadyy sprouting like crazy.

Will it be bigger than first time throughout or, put another way, will I be the size of a whale in another 10 weeks' time [vain emoticon]?

I have been showing since I was 8 weeks gone with this one (second pregnancy), am now 13+6 and in maternity clothes all the time! I feel huge. I can't possible keep going at this rate or I won't be able to get through the front door!

I am now 36 weeks with my second and definitely started showing a lot earlier - I wouldn't say now though that I am much (if at all) bigger than last time.

I am 30 weeks tomorrow and definitely showed earlier this time. Looking at photos from my friends birthday (a week before ds was born) I am not far off being the same size now. Who knows what the next ten weeks will bring

I think it slows down. I'm just beginning to get a bump with this one and think I'll need some wardrobe adjustment soon, but I shouldn't think I'll end up bigger overall. Started showing with DD around 30 weeks, 18 weeks now.

im about 8 weeks (i think) and i KNOW i look at least 4months gone. its embarassing. i also know i had a bit of a tum on me anyway so maybe its just pushing that forward

11 weeks here and definite baby (/cake?) bump, in maternity jeans already as my normal jeans felt tight towards the end of the day. Think my bump appeared at 16 weeks last time. Hoping I don't get bigger than last time too as I was a whale by 8 months! x

I'm 20 weeks- I look like I looked at about 7 months already with DC1, which is worrying since I was so big last time I had to have several extra growth scans. I've been showing since about 8 weeks. I've been a bit worried that i'm so big already.

I didn't show for ages with DD, but definitely started showing earlier with DC2.

Am now 41+3 (grr) and I am not much bigger or much of different shape/bump size than the last pregnancy. However my old stretchmarks have extended in length so they're pale silvery/peach but get redder as they get longer, which is interesting!

Started showing a lot sooner this time round but then it calmed down and I am now smaller than I was.
Am 29 weeks and everyone says I am very neat. At 29 weeks with ds I went to a funeral and everyone was worried I'd give birth in the church! Was huge!

I am like Tara, I think.

14w with DC2 here too and by the end of the day I look about the same as I did at 5mo pg with DD. I've not broken out the maternity clothes yet but my jeans are low rise so they sit under my bump, and since having DD I tend to wear looser tops anyway. I hope I don't end up much bigger than last time! Hoping it's all just hanging out earlier this time but will even out later.

I'm 12 weeks with DC2 and not showing at all. I'm a bit worried TBH and looking forward to the scan on Tuesday.

It seems a common enough concern GinPalace. I did expect to show sooner with DC2 but am really hoping the rate of bump growth slows and am taking comfort selectively from some of the replies but thanks all for replying.

AKMD Best of luck on Tuesday but don't be worrying. I wasn't showing at all at 12 weeks. My bump arrived from nowhere this week. I went from flat belly with slight extra bit of muffin topping to looking like I've stuffed a football up my jumper in a matter of days [shocked].

I'm 36wks with dc2 and throughout this pg I've been about 3-4wks bigger bump size at each stage than with Ds (well that's my perception anyway)

Measurements suggest I'm about the same size as last time, showed about 18 weeksish both times I think but hard to be objective about it! I felt a bit smaller until this week, now I feel like I am about to give birth but I have a few weeks left.

My mum's friend didn't show til 7 months with her DC3 though, and she was humongous with her first and second - depends how baby is lying I think.

I had my scan today and there is only one in there. PHEW!

My bump always seems to make an appearance at around 6 months. Can still get away with not looking pregnant in some clothes, in others I do. Strange!

I'm 13+5 today and just had scan - amazed to find only one not three in there as I look like I'm around 5 months! It's definitely dodgy stomach muscles (from DD) - it seems like I still have the same amount of tummy fat as beforehand (enough, but not a huge amount), but it's all been shoved outwards and is all wobbly and unsupported. Weird, weird, weird!

I am 20 weeks with DC2 and am HUGE. I was wider with DD but have more of an upfront bump this time.

Maybe ignore my last comment... Turns out I'm measuring 3-4 weeks ahead so going for a growth scan next week

measurements here suggest i am about the same as last time, however faces like this suggest i am frickin huge.

I'm coming up 9+5 with DC2 and there is definitely a bump there. Don't think I'm bigger anywhere else but my ridiculous appetite is making me think I'm going to 'balloon' this time round. Remember last time at about 15weeks going through the tubby not bump stage but this is totally different. In-laws have suggested there may be another one in there which I'm just trying to laugh off....
