I've got a Millie ,was pleased I spelt it like this as most of the named tat ! ( she loves them) it is spelt like this .

If I had to write it down I'd write milly so my gut says that, she will have an Italian surname so she will already have to spell that out I don't want to add the pain of her having to say 'Millie with an IE' aswell

My logic goes- Milly -for a stand alone name
Millie- if it short for something.

(Not sure why i think this- would be the same with Katy/Katie iyswim).

(we have a Millie).

But I prefer the Millie spelling.
