Hi everyone

I'm wondering if anyone can help. I keep googling this, but the answers are starting to feel like urban legend.

I suffered a missed miscarriage in January of this year. Very sad and me and my husband started ttc again after one cycle as advised by doctor.

I had a positive OPK on 8 march, after my last period on 26 feb (smiley face clearblue digital) at which point me and DH 'did it' as much as we could, along the advised lines - ie every other day (ok a bit more than that, but roughly lol).

And since then - no period. I have taken 5 HP tests, 4 of which have been First Response. 1 Boots. All BFN.

I also have no definite symptoms, though a couple of times i did hope I felt something, but I think it was wishful thinking. Oh, and I've gained 8lbs but I am pretty sure that's because I've EATEN my way through my post MC depression :( I've also been having some abdominal cramps, and a couple of times convinced that the witch is on her way, but nothing comes.

When i google this, I get all these stories of women who had BFN but were still pregnant, but I guess I just don't really believe it. Or if I believe them, I don't believe that's what's happening here. I know I'm not pregnant, but I can't stop peeing on a stick and faintly hoping until my period comes.

I'm beginning to get so depressed about it, because I just want to TTC properly, and this is ruining everything. I feel like I can't move on.

Does anyone have the actual personal experience of BFN still meaning preggo at like 25 - 30DPO?? With NO symtoms???

Or does anyone have any ideas how I can make my period start???

And please, I know I should 'go to the doctor' but, I do so hate going. I'm obviously just hoping for pre-GP solutions. I will go if I really have to - but anything I can do to avoid it...I will!!!

So sorry for your loss. Been there and done that twice and I completely understand how you're feeling. As many mn's will.

Your body will still be all over the place as your mc was fairly recent. Your hormones won't be back to normal yet. Neither may your cycle?

After my first mc, I can't tell you why, but I did a pg test as I had one in and it said positive. Even though I knew I wasn't. Maybe I was just grieving-I don't know.

However, I have also been of in the past and no pg test picked it up. At home or at the drs til I was about ten weeks.

Unfortunately it's a case of wait and see. All women are different and it may just be your bodys hormones catching up.

All the best though and I hope you get the result you want x

thanks for the kind words.

I guess my body knows what is right for me, like you say it's probably still messed up after the mc. Sorry to hear of yours aswell. It's so much more painful than i ever wold of thought :(

Just feel so impatient! All I want is to be pregnant again, but it's hard to keep the hope alive when I just don't know what is happening.

Any definite news yet op?

How you getting on?

hi Julia, I had a mmc on the 23.12.11 it was extremely tramatic for me. I desparately wanted another baby and me and dh were trying nearly straight away. I didn't have my 1st period until 6 weeks after mmc at which point I was devistated, so much so that I decided I was going to have my coil fitted again. when I finally got around to seeing the gp I found out I am expecting again.
I truelly believe that the change in the way I was thinking allowed my body to relax enough to sort itself out while. I know it seems really stupid but trying not to think about getting pregnant can make a difference and help you heal. take care I hope it happens soon for you xxx
