32 weeks, period pains and braxton hicks.

As the title says, I'm 32 weeks and I've been having BH's for a few weeks now. Today I've been getting period type pains with them too. I phoned the MW before who said that in first pregnancies this is quite normal in the few weeks before labour. I just feel very uncomfortable though, and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced anything similar?

i had millions of bh with ds2. they gradually (over weeks) became painful and eventually became labour (ds2 was born on his due date in the end). I realised it was labour in the end simply because by the final few days the bh were getting more and more painful and were regular- every ten mins - but as I had been having them for so long I still wasn't sure when it changed from painful bh to labour.I didn't have generalised period pain, just pain during the bh. Not sure if this helps. Try and make a note of how often they are happenning.... and speak to mw again if you are unsure. good luck!
