Well today was very very exciting I have had tightenings and period like pains for the past three days. I rang delievery who told be to go in and after various checks the midwife was very susprised how low down his head is she can feel it behind my cervix.

They don't think it will be long until baby is here, as the signs are there, oh I hope it is soon. xx

GrinGrin yay exciting

confuzed90 · 06/04/2012 19:39

Yummymummyyobe1 heyyy:D I've started have tightenings now too! Have been since this morning. Yay. It is a full moon after all ;) anyway, they have been very irregular all day and the intensity of them differs. So I'm going to do a bit of research and try and regulate them. So far I've heard sex and nipple stimulation?

Yummymummyyobe1 · 06/04/2012 19:47

confuzed90 Yay for the tightenings it is a good sign comeon baby confused. Mine were irregular yesterday during the morning and by the time we got to delivery they were a little more regular. The MW could feel them quite strongly.

(TMI) sorry but during my internal she said she could actually feel Harry's head above my (closed Sad ) cervix so he is very very low down. Just relax when you get them and breathe. I found that really helped a lot. xx

confuzed90 · 06/04/2012 20:02

Aww yay! I've not been to delivery so they've not been caught on monitor! Scares me into thinking maybe I'm imagining them but pretty sure I'm not. You going to try and regulate them? I'm not sure if nipple stimulation would be a good idea as can make them intense. So I heard. Already told DP we're having sex tonight lol. Contemplating going for a walk as I'm sat on sofa and just hurting.xx

Yummymummyyobe1 · 06/04/2012 20:39

You won't be imagining them, perhaps call delivery and see what they say as I wasn't going to bother but they were taking my breath away., they can tell you if your cervix is softening and just how regular the tighenings are (also great tea).

I have found a warm bath and also kneeling on all fours helps. Wish I was allowed a bit of Rumpy Pumpy as the thought of it making me go into labour has freaked DP out. Take it easy with the walk as it can make baby feel very heavy between your legs. PG leaves you with no dignity yesterday two drs and a midwife where down the buisness end. xx

RockChick1984 · 06/04/2012 20:39

Oooh, good luck! Are you at your due date? Depending how brave / desperate you are feeling, could try either sex or evening primrose oil to soften cervix!

Yummymummyyobe1 · 06/04/2012 20:58

Hi RockChick1984 I am due on the 29th but there is very little chance of that date I think. The MW commented that she can feel baby's head internally just above my cervix so it shouldn't be long now. Baby has been 3/5 palable for 4 weeks so about 2/5 engaged. xx

confuzed90 · 06/04/2012 21:01

They've calmed down loads :( I'm trying the sex later, DP has been informed lol. He knows it can put me in labour and has said he hates the thought of it and that I'm just using him lol, I just show a bit of cleavage and voila! Lol sorry! I'm 37+2 so not due date but full term. Midwife has advised me to start the 'go aheads' and baby is 1/5ths (fully) engaged.

rrrayray · 06/04/2012 21:08

Ohhhhh Good luck ladies! Xxx

Yummymummyyobe1 · 06/04/2012 21:11

confuzed90 baby will be here soon enough, eveni f sex doesn't work at least it is fun Wink My breasts are not the appealing prospect they once were, what with the leaking. I will be full term on Sunday. xx

OP posts:
confuzed90 · 06/04/2012 21:17

Ahh I've not had any leaking. I didn't with DS neither. Not until after birth anyway then was ridiculous. I know baby will be here soon enough..just getting impatient as this pregnancy has been pains after pains followed by bleeding and being told at the beginning that I was likely to miscarry so I think I'm just ready to hold him safely in my arms now. You will feel great on sunday when you reach full term. I did on wednesday, couldn't stop smiling that the time was finally here where I could stop worrying about pre-term. My DS went overdue, was induced because of pre-eclampsia, I am scared of going overdue again, is not nice at all. Is this your first Yummymummyyobe1?

Yummymummyyobe1 · 06/04/2012 21:24

I bet you can't wait to cuddle your DS [busmile] I know what you mean about the pre term thing, I was really worried about this as I have read so much about all the things that can go wrong before term. You will go very very very soon. It is our first, our lovely DS Harry. I can't wait to cuddle him for the first time, is is possible to love him anymore than DP and I already do??

Leaky breasts are somthing I could do without I have to say. xx

OP posts:
confuzed90 · 06/04/2012 21:36

Oh god I love DS a hell of a lot more then I do my DP.my son comes before my partner every time. He did when I was only 6 weeks pregnant with DS1 and DP wanted an abortion. I already loved DS1 way too much to even consider an abortion. DP has thanked me for going against what he wanted, he is now the best dad I could ask for my son and alex (DS1) loves his dad more then anyone.including me, (he's a daddy's boy BIG style! )
It is amazing when you hold them for the first time, the love you will have is indescribable. You will do anything in your power to protect them.
Sometimes I wonder how I will love DS2 (jake) as much as I love alex, I worry that I will love them differently. Xx

Yummymummyyobe1 · 06/04/2012 21:56

You will love them both equally. DP can't wait to meet his son and often talks to him and Harry responds with a wriggle [busmile] xx

confuzed90 · 06/04/2012 22:01

That's cute :D the very first time my DP felt DS1 move was, he put his head on my belly and received a great big kick in the head! Lol.

Anyway good luck for tonight! I hope this progress for you! Xx

Yummymummyyobe1 · 06/04/2012 22:17

Good luck Wink Don't do anything I wouldn't Wink
