Help! So I recently had my house redecorated, I didn't do the work myself and I tried as much as possible to stay out of the rooms until the work was finished. I'm not too worried about the paint fumes, as it was low VOC paint and I know lots of pregnant ladies paint / redecorate etc. HOWEVER! My house was prob built in the 50's so apparantly it could have lead paint (!?) really why do I ever look on the internet, I have no idea! So the doors and woodwork were sanded and then repainted, so I'm concerned that I could have been exposed to lead dust...(?) and that could be bad for the baby. As I write this I'm slightly aware of how mad it sounds, but then again I can't help but be paranoid! Any advice/similar experiences? THANK U!

I am really interested in the answer to this, although i am afraid i don't know it yet. We need to decorate the nursery, althugh that is a rather dramatic way of putting it... Basically the room is currently full of hideous ancient yellowing wallpaper already peeling off the wall like medieval scrolls, so it is a long overdue task! But i am quite nervous since although we will be using low voc oaint, the walls will need to be sanded for it to work, and seeing how ancient the wallpaper is i suspect the paint is even more ancient!

Have you found any answers yet? Will be very interested to hear...
