So, I am due on Sunday with DC4, been having a few signs that my body is gearing up and I just wondered if the full moon theory was true for anyone here?

Its fascinating that people have reported labour wards being busier, and would love to hear if anyone has any experience of that being the case?

Looking forward to lots of live labour threads on Friday, that being the case!

Anyone else 'gearing up' and ready to pop on Fridays full moon, or is it just a myth?!?

I'll be 37 weeks on Sunday....but baby hasn't really dropped yet.

If it's 10 moon cycles, I'll have to wait until May!

2 weeks before DS was due I saw the MW and she was looking in her diaary to make my next appt and said "ooh, it's a full moon at the week end, that'll bring him on". 4 days later she saw me and newborn DS on the antenatal ward and said "I didn't mean it!" with a wink and a smil. It was a full moon 9 months after Christmas. The MWs said it was the busiest they could ever remember.

DD however hung on for 6 days after the full moon before her due date.

I now still get exited when I know anyone heavily pg around the time of a full moon.

I'm 41+1 and had a "favourable" sweep at 12 noon. Am definitely hoping for ANYTHING to get this baby going before Wednesday when I'm booked for an induction. Fingers crossed--good luck everyone Wink
