I am in my first trimester with my first pregnancy and am deciding which hospital to go to for antenatal care and birth. Queen Charlotte's or UCLH?!?! Please help!

If you use the search facility here, you will see lots of past threads about both these hospitals.

I had DS2 at QC recently and they were absolutely fantastic. It was a complicated/ high risk pregnancy so lots of check ups, tests and reassurance followed by induction 5 weeks early. DS2 was in intensive care and both he and I could not have been better looked after. Highly recommended.

However, I did here complaints on the postnatal ward from some women who had more "normal" pregnancies and deliveries: eg having to wait for for beds, pain relief, help from midwives etc. Probably because they have to prioritise the complicated cases like me! It was mad busy on both the delivery and postnatal wards on several of the days I was in hospital.
