I am 11+5 today and worrying (for a change) as my sense of smell which has been very over-active for the last few weeks, isn't as strong today. Also I am feeling much hungrier today than I have in weeks, and my boobs aren't as sore.

Am I am being silly? Next scan isn't til I'm 13+4, argh!

You're heading towards the magic 12 week point and symptoms are supposed to calm down by then, please don't worry, but if you are for any reason call your MW :)

should take own advice and stop poking boobs to make them hurt again and stop counting how many pees I have in the night obsessively

Thanks Foof, I know, if someone else asked the same questions as in my OP that's the exact anser I would give! But its so hard to take our own advice, isn't it.

I'm 22 weeks and I think mine calmed down around 13 or 14 weeks. A great relief considering the level of hygiene of some people on pubic transport . I had to get off a couple of buses and wait for the next the smell was sometimes so vile

Mine disappeared almost entirely. It still hasn't recovered properly and my youngest is one.

Figarello · 04/04/2012 13:39

Mine did. DH could open the fridge door and I could smell the contents when I was at the top of our 3 storey house. My sense of smell has remained heightened even though my older DC is now 5 and my younger one is 2! Bit like my feet got bigger and stayed bigger Hmm

Congratulations though and good luck! Smile

I think mine calmed down at around 16 weeks, but it is still heightened from before pg (when not blocked with colds and rhinitis) but at least it is not super sensitive like the first trimester.

My taste buds went a bit haywire as well and that didn't completely settle until about 30 weeks and I still get the odd funny moment (now 37+1).

nickelhasababy · 04/04/2012 13:53

oh yes, mine got stronger and stronger and stronger.

it's still not back to normal (although how would i know?)
i've always hada keen sense of smell anyway.
