Hi all, I have been taking just folic acid and had my first appointment with the midwife yesterday who recommended taking vitamin D as well. So I bought some pregnacare and had that with dinner last night. I'm 10 weeks and haven't had any sickness so far but after that last night and this morning I have felt really sick. Has anyone else had this? Would it be ok just to go back to taking the folic acid and buy vit D seperately do you think? Thanks

I have heard other people get sick with pregnacare on here & I've had it with similar vitamins (superdrug's cheaper version) when I haven't taken it on a full stomach.

Try taking it with a proper meal in the evening, but if that doesn't work, there isn't a problem taking folic acid & vit D separately.

You can get a tub of 100 Vit D 10mg tablets for £3.99 in Holland and Barratt which is a really good price.

Pregnacare don't upset my tummy, but folic acid tabs on there own do, weird how we are all different :)

Yes, they upset my tummy if I take them when I've not eaten - the box does clearly state to take them with food, though :)
