Hemangioma and other weird skin issues...

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I am almost 37 weeks and have developed loads of little skin tags around my neck/collar bone area. They have probably been there for quite some time but I just didn't notice them. Anyhoo, I have also developed (what I now know after a visit to the doc's) an Hemangioma - tightly packed balls of tiny blood vessels that form
bright red bumps, usually dome - shaped. Usually due to hormonal changes.

It started off as a little red lump, but now looks like a big fat ladybird sitting on my neck. It's rather unsightly to say the least.

If you had one during pregnancy did it go away after giving birth? Or was surgical intervention required?

I have reported you. Totally unacceptable and cruel post.

Chineapple - a quick look around active convos will show you that this 'amelia' thing has been trolling every post where there's an opportunity to upset someone.

Please ignore.

I know nothing about hemangioma, sorry, but didn't want you to be upset by some moron. Congrats on the pregnancy :)

Thanks otterface, I've just this minute noticed that this excuse for a person has contributed cruel and trolling messages to other threads.

Sorry you had to deal with that other poster.

My dd was born with a hemangioma on the roof of her mouth. The dr said it should disappear by the time she is five. She is now six and there is a faint trace of it.
But like so many other symptoms of pregnancy, I would expect it to go away as soon as you give birth. Have you spoken to your midwife about it?
I do feel for you. I have skin issues and they are so frustrating! All the best.

Haven't spoken to MW about it but went to see the doc to get it checked out. At first I thought it was just a skin tag that I had scratched and damaged but the thing kept growing. :(

Hopefully, as you say, it will disappear as soon as I give birth. Glad your DD's has faded. :)

ooh I'd forgotten about the skin tags that I got in last pregnancy. Yes I had quite a few (which I'd never had before being pregnant), and they all dissapeared when the baby with born. With this (second) pregnancy I am dealing with the delights of acne. Such joy!!!
