I'm 31 weeks pregnant and getting quite short of breath even when just sitting on the sofa,i know the baby is quite high up as i'm getting lots of kicks just under my ribs, does anyone know of anything i can do to help this or is it just another pregnancy ailment which we have to contend with?

I had this in my second pregnancy. Turned out it is associated with anaemia and also low blood pressure. Make sure you mention it to someone!

I had this too. I had my iron levels checked and started taking spatone. My iron went from 9.2 to 11.6 in a month and I felt so much better. Hope this helps.

Actually I was going to say, that have your bloods checked for Anaemia too,
I got shortness of breath and was tested and I was low. I'm also a vegiie and baby's are blood sucking aliens!
It's worth having it looked at by the midwife.

Thanks everyone, my iron count was very high at the last check, 14 something but i have been told by my midwife that my blood pressue is low so maybe thats it?

I'd never been anaemic before til this pregnancy, I would ask for your bloods to be checked again but they should be doing them routinely soon anyway.
