Are breast shells like these ones, direct.asda.com/Philips-AVENT-Comfort-Breast-Shell-Set-6-pce/002673582,default,pd.html a replacement for breast pads or do you need the pads too?

You will need breast pads as well as these are used to collect leaking milk, usually when you are feeding from the other side. You can't wear them for too long as they put pressure on your breast tissue, and they also give you very funny shaped boobs.

If you join the Boots Baby club, you should get a voucher to get them free. You also get another voucher for the Avent Mum to be essential pack (£15) which you also get a voucher for if you spend over £10 on Avent (shells are £11) and both went through free!
