this is baby number 3 - I never had any BH with first two

am 20+2

and my god I know im having these BH :(

I have to stop in my tracks, have had them all week but today they're much more noticable, Ive got a crappy cold - and coughing loads and thought I had strained some thing, could that be it?

Could have something to do with it, I would have thought it entirely plausible.
Maybe your uterus just really knows what it is doing this time around after the two practice runs, and is flexing its muscles more forcefully cos it can! :)

I think you should get checked out. Call your midwife tomorrow, just to be on the safe side. Think is a bit early for BH.

AgnesBligg · 01/04/2012 17:38

Yes to getting checked. They will probably want to monitor. I'd call the labour and ask what they think you should do. I thought bh ccame aat 30+ weeks.

labour ward

lop37 · 01/04/2012 17:45

yes, just came back to say that I don't think you should wait till morning. Best get everything checked out asap.

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 01/04/2012 17:49

Really? Oh. Fucks.

Am moving house this week. Have so much to do. Coughing guts up & feel shocking. Thought you'd all just say yes normal!!

please do get checked out, however, keep in mind that bh supposed to get stronger with each subsequent pg. my bh have started at 22 wks this time (2nd pg) and are v v uncomfortable at times...

bemybebe · 01/04/2012 17:51

chances are that these are normal, don't panic

milk · 01/04/2012 18:04

If in doubt call the midwife. It gives one piece of mind :)

I had no BH with first 2 but am 34 weeks with DC3 and they are awful!
Bit of a shock to me too!

OnlyWantsOneTwoAndThree · 01/04/2012 21:25

bit like the after pains I had with dd2, that no one had mentioned would happen.

As bad as labour. For 5 days!
