is it safe to sleep on my back?

I'm finding constantly sleeping on my left is playing havoc with my hip.

Thanks

its not thought to be safe sleeping on your back in pregnancy regardless of your placenta position, due to the pressure your bump puts on a major blood vessel that feeds the placenta, having said that it does say if you lay flat?? maybe check with your mw if propping yourself would be ok?? I've heard something about sleeping with a pillow between your legs helping so maybe worth giving that a go :)
