Horrible braxton hicks all day

Hello all. I'm 38 wks DC1 and all day (and last night) have experienced what feels like severe period pains on and off. Enough to stop me in my tracks and left me unable to walk a short distance. As they are not getting progressively worse, I don't think it's the real thing...but have any of you experienced similar and have any indication as to whether it's an indicator labour is around the corner? Thank you.

If i remember rightly, BH tend to fade not continue after about an hour or so. If you're having pains at regular intervals even if its like every 15 mins, and they go on for more than an hour, it coudl be the start of labour rather than just BH.

Thanks Stokey. Think it was just BH as still no labour! Bloody annoying all the same though.
