Hi,

a few days ago, my belly dropped. As I'm only 36+1 I'm not so keen for my baby to make an apperance very soon.

Is that now likely to happen or perfectly normal?

Thanks, Thali

Hi Thaleia I am 36 weeks and 3 days and my bump has been dropping for a couple of weeks. This is baby number one. His head is 3/5 palatable (sp)so about 2/5 engaged I think.

I think it is the case baby will come when baby feels like it. xx

I think that your first can engage/drop quite early without making an appearance so don't worry Smile

I am 37 weeks and my bump has been hanging very low for weeks now. I know that baby is head down but head not engaged as yet. As far as I'm aware, the engagement of the head doesn't really relate to when you are going to go into labour anyway. I'd quite like him to make an appearance soon though. Don't fancy being prego for another 5 weeks. :(

When I was pregnant with DS my bump dropped around 33 weeks, he arrived on his due date. Doesn't mean your LO will make an appearance very soon, just that you are on the home stretch!

Am 40 weeks today. Bump dropped @ 35 weeks. It's pot luck really. This is also my first.
