Blocked ears in first trimester

Hi,

This is my 3rd pg but the first time I've had blocked ears. I'm 6 weeks and dreading it if the ear problem continues. It feels like I've just come off a flight and they're blocked - but they don't clear at any point! Any advice from anyone who's experienced this too?

Thanks.

hello, congratulations, although not on the blocked ears - they really are horrid. I've had them with both my pregnancies. With DD I muddled through and used earex and olive oil to try and clear it. This time I went to see the nurse at my doctors surgery and she syringed it, sooo much better. She also said that earex was a bit strong (ehat I'd been recommended first time round) and shouldn't be used too much, so if warm olive oil doesn't budge it I'd definitely call your GP surgery. If they syringe them they'll ask you to do the olive oil first anyway to soften it. Oh the glamour!
