BFP 3 days ago and no symptoms whatsoever?? Please reassure me!

Ok, so I have already posted on the BFP hysterics thread about this, but today my levels of worry have crept above hysteria (what comes above that? Terror??), so I am shouting on the main menu in need of reassurance!

I got my BFP 3 days ago, when AF was 1 day late. I used a CB digital and it said 1-2 weeks PG.

I am really worried that something is wrong cos I have absolutely no symptoms whatsoever. I MC'd at 6 weeks in january, and that time around I had period-like cramps for the whole 2 weeks I knew I was PG. This time: nothing.

Am becoming convinced that something's gone wrong and the PG isn't developing at all this time :(

Can anyone reassure me that having no symptoms at BFP + 3 is normal?? Essentially this means I am 4+3 weeks PG.

I am thinking of buying loads more PG tests at lunchtime and diong one every day to check the hormone is still there - am I mad? If I was having a MMC, would my hormone levels decline quickly enough to be picked up by a shop PG test, at this early stage??

Gaaaah!

I didn't get any symptoms. No morning sickness, boobs fine (then hit massive!), no cramps - nada. Only really knew I was preg cause of the test and no period. You'll be fine!

Aworryingtrend · 28/03/2012 12:49

I am now 10.5 weeks and I did not have one single symtom until I was 7 weeks, when sickness hit me like a train! It is entirely normal notto have any symtoms and to be honest I don't think it would be a good sign if you were having cramps.

I can understand you wanting to do PG tests daily, its up to you really whether you think it will satisy you or just panic you more(Is that line as strong as yesterdays? Did it take a while to appear? What if this brand is different? Etc etc).

You could also book a GP appointment to get them to confirm the pregnancy. I felt reassured by the 'officalness' of a Dr telling me I was pregnant!

I wouldn't worry about it at all, symptoms this early are unusual I would think rather than the norm. I'm 24 weeks pregnant with DD2 atm, I got symptoms the day I found out, and was 6 weeks by then, before that nothing at all. And with DD1 I had no symptoms of pregnancy at all until she started kicking me!
Every time and everybody is different, really try not to stress :) easier said than done I know!

Good luck

I've had 2 MMC so understand your worry - now have DD and another on the way. I never got symptoms until about 7 weeks so it would not be unusual at all for you to have nothing at your stage as it is so early. Nothing is good news and making yourself overly stressed is not good for you!

You will just have to sit it out I think and doing loads of tests will only make you more stressed - if you have to maybe do one every few days but I know when I had the MMC the hormone took along while to go down and tests were still showing positive some 6 weeks later.

Try to relax and do some nice things to give yourself something else to think about!

I did get any symptoms until week 6.

Enjoy your symptom free time while you can!!!

MagsAloof · 28/03/2012 13:23

I had no symptom until 8 wks with DC1 and 7 wks with DC2, thrn nausea kicked in big time. I remember posting on MN when about 6 wks preg with DC2 'I feel fine, whats wrong?'. Famous last words, as I got hyperemesis and was literally lying on the floor being sick for 6 mths! Grin

DangerMousey · 28/03/2012 14:56

Hey, thanks guys, that's all made me feel much better :)

I guess the fact is, if this PG is going to go wrong too, at an early stage, there's nothing I can do about it, just need to try and relax, as you say!

It's funny to be almost wishing to feel utterly wretched and sick, isn't it?? Just to know something's in there?? Ha ha, watch me retract that statement in a few weeks time if all goes to plan and I am puking my guts up all day long...!

Fingers crossed.....gonna have a nice (decaf, natch) tea and try to chill the hell out :)

I am now almost 20 weeks with my second and had no symptoms immediately with either one (totally normal pregnancy first time round and going well this time so far). I did, however, do a LOT of pregnancy tests in between the first positive and the 12 week scan, just for reassurance! Expensive, but comforting! Hope all goes well for you.

MissPollysTrolleyed · 28/03/2012 20:00

Hello Mousey. I'm 13 weeks. I had no symptoms whatsoever until about eight weeks apart from some implantation bleeding (prolonged and post-BFP so made the lack of symptoms even more worrying). Morning sickness, exhaustion and low blood pressure hit at 8 weeks and I've felt pretty horrid ever since.
