Is this normal?

I have actually vomited (excuse the information) but I feel nauseous and have been gagging whilst eating so im now going off my food and cant physically eat anything!

I've never had this with previous pregnancies, I had two boys if that helps, perhaps this is a girl???

Mine started at 11 weeks and carried on at a low level the whole way through. I had a boy.

sorry my OP should have said that I have not vomited

I'm sorry to say that my nausea (no vomiting though) started at 6 weeks through to 5.5 months and then made a comeback at 7 months all the way to the end! Luckily I could eat some things but I couldn't go shopping or even step into the kitchen due to the smells.

If it gets really really bad do seek help.

Can I ask Booboostoo how many children you have and are they girls/boys and whether their were any differences in sickness etc?

Is there any chance your dates are wrong? I was sure I was 10 weeks pregnant when I started throwing up and the (lovely, lovely, lovely) GP who prescribed me anti-emetics told me he would be very surprised if I was actually 10 weeks and not 6. I scoffed in his face.... then went for a '12 week' scan two weeks later and saw an 8 week old baby!

FeathersMcGraw · 27/03/2012 21:29

Mine started at around 8wks with both dds and finished at around 14 weeks...

I had a scan two weeks ago, due to chicken pox scare, I am definitely 10 weeks, I've been feeling nauseous for a while but the gagging has only just started and the nauseous is getting slightly worse

Gagging but not vomiting is quite common. I gagged a lot and vomited only a little during morning sickness, no more vomiting but still gagging sometimes at 22 weeks. and one of my aunties was barely sick in her fourth pregnancy but dry heaved throughout. Nausea can manifest itself in a number of different ways, and some run in families to some extent. I'm having a girl, she had a boy.

I'm 15 weeks now and started throwing up at about 12 weeks, it usually after breakfast or after cleaning my teeth at night. The same happened last time round, the only difference being last time I'd been sick and nauseous throughout the first trimester, whereas this time I wasn't.

I'm beginning to see that it's all completely random - that beans and grapes will do what they wish, when they wish, and be completely different from pregnancy to pregnancy and person to person.

I was pregnant for a short while 6 years ago - that one would wake me up at 5am like clockwork to retch for a few hours, and then it was done.

This one started with all manner of randomness from around six weeks - nausea, catastrophic heartburn, sickness - but all at different times and with no kind of discernible pattern. I threw up yesterday morning but a week previous to that, I'd be fine all day and then begin to die a death of terrible motion-sickness type nausea and awful heartburn.
