I had a body pillow when I was pregnant - it was great as I suffered with pains in my legs caused by trapped nerves and it was a great comfort at night. Mine was probably closer in size to the second option but I bought it at Costco.

I used the 2nd pillow but looking at the mega sized one I wish I had seen that one !!! Sod where dh sleeps !!!! sleep...heaven !!!!

BTW I got on well with the triangle one I used as below but must admit it was hard to try and get into a comfy position but once I did it was heaven..until I changed sides 20 mins later ..!

i had a pillow not quite as big as the first but nearly. It was the best buy for myself when pregnant with DS. So much so I kept it in the loft for when pg again. Recently reused it when having DD and still using it in the bed. I love it, DH isnt soo keen but then thats just cos he is jealous..also means he cant get anywhere near me..lol I only still use it to rest DD on when feeding in night/morning. OR to prop her on if we are co sleeping so I dont roll onto her. Think mine cost around £35 but best money I spent.

I had a big long bean bag pillow - fantastic - also used it for feeding both DSs and for comfort in labour.
DH slept on the floor in first pregnancy and in the spare room with the second

I am using something called 'bellybag' it is a huge oval bean bag with a hole in the middle for your belly (does not really fit on the bed because would take up all the space, so I sleep on the floor), it enables you to sleep on your belly (taking pressure of your back, also great for massage) but I also use it to sleep on my left side (to get baby in right position) which I have been doing since 26 weeks and which has given me very sore left hip and ribs but on this bellybag it is fine. Not very social I know, but at least I am finally able to get sleep (before I woke up almost every hour). If your are interested I can try to find the website where I bought it.

yes would love to have a look,a IM told me about the being on lft bit and now may have sciatica back so might have to sleep on left only until I get some acupuncture, not sure about being on the floor bit !! Even though bed is huge queen size thing , dont think dh would be impressed with me taking over , although he did mention this evening being on the sofa eventually !!!

I bought mine over the internet at www.thebellybag.co.uk I ordered it right before X-mas and they actually delivered just before X-mas which was great. Before using it I checked with my GP and he actually said that lying on your belly is quite good as it increases blood flow to the placenta, however, I sleep part of the night on my belly and part of the night on my left side. For me it has been such an outcome because before (in spite of having the large V-shaped maternity pillow and a wedge pillow) I kept waking almost every hour because sore left hip and ribs and hence had to walk round/sit up for approx 15 mins before trying to sleep again. Good luck. Once I have given birth I will offer my one for sale on e-bay but that might still take a month or so.
