Period cramps 32 weeks, UTI?

I am 32 weeks pregnant with number 1 and I've got really sore period cramps.

It's not braxton hicks (I think!) because it's not something that is coming and going and coming and going like a contraction, its just a permanent pain.

So it was sore over night and I woke up at 7am and the pain was there constantly until 8am. Then it went.

It came back at lunch time and it's been about an hour now and still sore. We're not talking teeth clenchingly painful, just a continuos, sore period pain. I phoned midwife to check if I could take paracetamol and she said it could be a UTI so i'm to take a urine sample in on monday.

Does this sound likely? I've no stinging when I wee or anything just this bloody crampy sore tummy! Think i'll go for a warm bath.

24 hours later update in case anyone has had similar!

Bath yesterday got rid of the pains, was a bit sore in the night again and now they pain is coming and going again today. As in it'll be there for an hour then vanish. But when the pain is present it is constant, so not contractions.

I'm almost certain it isn't a UTI as really the pain is not in my back (so not kidneys) and there is no change in urination habit and no stinging.

I really just want someone to tell me this wont last for the next 2 months because i'll go mad! so uncomfy.

I've had something v similar heidi, also 32 wks pregnant.. I've put it.down to my bowels/trapped wind, can feel v uncomfortable and usually aleviated by trip to the loo!!
Unfortunately these last few weeks of preg are generally v uncomfortable but that particulate pain prob won't last the whole time as baby will be shifting positions.. and if your mw not worried I'm sure its fine.
