Aw just want to give a hug, have you rang your midwife??

Hoebag · 23/03/2012 13:37

its unfortunate isnt it I dont think a feotus before 6 weeks would show on screen.

Aworryingtrend · 23/03/2012 13:54

Sorry to hear you are experiencing this. I had some light bleeding at 7.5 weeks, and a heavier bright red bleed at 8.5 weeks, and a scan confirmed all was ok- I have a polyp on my cervix which seems to be causing the bleeeding. However i didn't have any pain or cramping.

As hoebag says, I don't think a heartbeat can be detected before 6 or even 7 weeks. Depending on what happens over the next few days you could try doing a pregnancy test in a week or so to see what the result is but other than that I can't think of anyhting you can do unfortunately.

I hope everything turns out ok.

I've had treatment for fertility so the clinic want me to go for the scan before I contact a midwife etc... I'm not cramping to much at the moment anyone what is normal bleeding in pregnancy lots people say it is common like 1 in 3 get bleeding that is fine but I don't know so so worried Sad

pinkapples I know how you feel; it's all very worrying especially if it's completely new to you. You'll hear this a million times but every pregnancy is different and what's normal for one person won't be for another etc. I had some bleeding at around 5 weeks too; I went in for an early scan but as everyone mentions it wasn't really possible to see anything at that early stage, apart from the fact that there was a pregnancy and it was in the right place - no indication of heartbeat or anything at that point. I had to wait another week and a half and go back for another scan before finding out that everything was ok; it turned out that I had a slight bleed in one of my ovaries but nothing to worry about. Can you contact your clinic with these kind of concerns? Otherwise please try not to worry too much between now and your scan and try to keep yourself distracted!

I'm
Having a week off work... Or at least a couple of days have finally contacted the hospital they said if it stops it should be ok if it carries on then I'm probably losing the pregnancy... I guess time will tell

I am sorry this is happening, when it comes down to it midwives and doctors cannot tell you a lot at your stage regarding what is happening. I have two children, and bled with both of them at about 5 weeks. Withe first I bled up until 16 weeks and the second bled for a good 6 weeks.

I hope that it all works out well and that your scan will show all is well.

Hi pink apples! I'm going through exactly the same. I'm 5+5 and have had browny discharge and one small fresh red bleed on Monday this week. I was referred to a EPU and had a scan. It's so early, so they could only tell me that the pregnancy was in the right place and that the yolk sac was visible. Even though the dr said there was nothing to suggest that all was not well, I can't help but worry so much. Apparently bleeding is very common. Will have to wait for my next scan on the 30th march. In the meantime, I just feel so I'll. Wish I had morning sickness, rather than the awful hangover-like nausea/dizziness thing that I have had for days. I feel so ill. Does anyone else have this? What with the worry of the bleeding and feeling so ill, I'm not a happy bunny! X

pinkapples · 24/03/2012 06:29

Awww you lucky it's brown tho as most ppl have brown discharge I think mine on th other hand is much more like a period bleed that started light yesterday and has continued this morning sit tight x

How are you feeling today? Mine seems to be a bit less for the moment, so fingers crossed. Its such a worrying time isnt it? Take care of yourself x

pinkapples · 24/03/2012 13:17

I'm alright I guess had another little cry now spending the day chilled in the garden with hubby and dogs had some bright red flow this morning then the last 2 times I've been to the toilet nothing but this happened yesterday so I'm sure it'll be back... Still not had what ppl describe tho like the sac coming out or white stringy bits mines just blood with a couple of clots here and there I guess everyone's different but only the scan will tell the nurse said just wait it out till then and if the bleeding does stop just do another pregnancy test which will either say yes or no

I understand and hope that all is ok for you in the end. It's that awful waiting game isn't it? Hope you had a relaxing day and that the hubby is looking after you. Take care, Jen x

pinkapples · 24/03/2012 21:43

Thanks how are you now all ok?

Floozycat · 24/03/2012 23:53

I'm ok thanks. No more bleeding. Just feel

Floozycat · 24/03/2012 23:57

Blooming phone.... No more bleeding, just feeling really I'll as I stopped taking the antidepressant medication I had been taking on the day I found out, without speaking to my gp or weaning myself of the tablets. Now I have loads of withdrawal symptoms, that are really unpleasant. Wish I had spoken to gp, rather than panicking that I was only tablets and was now pregnant. Gp reckons it'll take another week or 2 for symptoms to go completely, so got to contend with that and the worry of the wait.

Hope u ok x

pinkapples · 25/03/2012 07:54

Oh no hope u feel better soon im alright I suppose still bleeding it has turned into a moderate period now but no pain so who knows but surely you can only get a + if you are due to hormones and things might do a test in the morning well see... And like I said I haven't passed any sacs or white brown tissue do fingers crossed
