I'm 16+5 and absolutely dying with the cold :( I've been taking paracetamol and drinking honey and lemon but it's not making me feel any better.

Anyone got any suggestions as to remedies that are safe for baby?

Try vapour rub, baths, anything with steam to shift the snot, but you can't take anything more medicine wise I'm afraid. Feel better soon.

I borrowed a plug in vaporiser from a friend that had little eucalyptus tablets you put in it and have it in your bedroom over night.
Really helped with the blocked nose through the night.

Ooh that sounds lovely LMN.. It's a night when I seem to get stuffed up the most and between that and having to get up to pee I'm not managing to get much shut eye. will have a look around on the internet for something similar.

Thanks :)

Boots sell them. I got one for my blocked nose - (rhinitis I think). Was about £18 if I remember rightly, and extra tablet things a few quid per pack of 5.
Not using mine now until my chest infection goes! Quite good though.

I had a stuffy cold a week or so ago. Pharmacist told me to put a big teaspoon of Vicks Vapour rub in a bowl of boiling water in my bedroom and shut the door 15 minutes before I went to bed. It did help. I also put Karvol oil on my pillows and used Olbus nasal inhaler.

HTH

I am just getting over a rotten cold, which involved having a throat like barbed wire, lost my voice etc.
But I'm well 'ard and just stuck it out! Grin Took paracetamol before bed though.
You have my sympathy though, it is no fun. I was wishing for some Sudafed.
