Hi ladies

Found out last friday I was pregnant with my 1st at nearly 37 years old. So far, have gone from elated to worried, to reassured and back to worried! Had a bit of brown discharge and one episode of bright red bleeding yesterday, so was referred for a scan. Dr could see the gestation sac and a yolk sac, but no embryo or heartbeat, so got to go back for a repeat scan on the 30th. said there was no reason to think that there was something wrong, and that bleeding in early pregnancy is very common. i'm probably worrying myself for nothing! Scan shows I am 5+2 weeks, so that ties in with my dates.

Does everyone go through this worry or am I just being a stresshead?! It makes me wonder why anyone puts themselves through this wonderful scary journey! x

Oh yes, I've worried loads and I 'm usually a carefree person. I'm 38 with our first DC (19+5) and although everything has been fine, it hasn't stopped my worry Hmm. It has eased up though in the second trimester and also after the first scan.
Good luck and hope your pregnancy goes well x

Thank u Lovemarmite! Hope your pregnancy goes well too! How did you feel in the early days? I'm feeling so rough :-( Just hoping that it is a good sign and it's because the pregnancy hormones are nice and high! X
