First movements? Or just wind! Way over to the side, confused

I am 23 weeks pregnant with first baby, have anterior placenta and been told I won't feel anything until later than most.

Anyway the last couple of days I have felt this weird tiny tiny thing on the side of my belly, like a bubble popping or nerve twitching, about three inches below the level of my belly button, but way over to the side - probably level with the centre of my knee or even an inch further out than that.

Could it possibly be baby or am I just thinking wishfully and actually just brewing a fart?!?! It just seems further to the side than I was expecting it to be.

It has happened mostly when laying on my side in bed but also just happened now, while sat at my desk working.

Sounds like baby to me! Whenever anyone asks that's exactly how I describe the early ones like bubbles getting bigger and popping. They will get stronger & stronger now you know what to look for. It is a magical feeling. Enjoy it & congratulations

Ooh really how exciting!! It just doesn't feel how/where I was expecting. Want it to happen again now!

Sounds like baby to me, I feel them in similar places. Like a little flip, or a very small prod, or a bubble...

I have an anterior placenta, too, (discovered at 20wk scan), and the sonographer said that the baby was laying across me (from left to right), so I think this is why i sometimes feel movements in the places that I wouldn't expect!

I seem to feel them more when I'm sitting forward..

It took me a while to work out what they were, and when I ruled out everything else (food, drink, wind etc...) I figured it must be baby :)

It's very exciting! Congrats :o

Ah yeah, my scan showed baby lying crossways too so maybe that does make sense - it's just they are so far over to the side from what I was expecting!

I guess they will get stronger and I will feel them more and more, hopefully :)
