My sister in law is nearly 14 weeks and has two girls, they are hoping for a boy this time and is wondering....

She had spotting during her first 2 pregnancies and went on to have girls

Shes had none this time

IS there any pattern do you think?

Two girls and a boy - spotting with all of them.

Well that ruins her theory

Another post to ruin your theory.

My 2 friends. Both had spotting. 1 had a girl. A week later the other had a boy.

Sorry.

Didn't with DS2.

Theory blown out of the water

She (well actually her dh) is soooo destperate for a boy!

She told him she didnt want anymore children but he pursuaded her to give it one month to try for a boy - she agreed thinking that as she would only just have come off the pill there was little chance she'd get pregnant and caught first time

I really hope he gets one then, b/c otherwise, poor little girl.

Sorry, I just always found this a sad reason to bring a new life into the world.

Me too, but they will love the baby girl or boy, her dh just has this macho thing going on where 'real men produce boys' Ive posted about him before... we have 2 boys and he calls them wussy boys or gay etc because he finds it hard to deal with that his brother has 2 boys and is therefor in his odd opinion more of a man.....sigh....

He's got some pretty serious issues, Tamba.

I'd be FURIOUS if someone used the term 'gay' in a derogatory fashion like that.

TambaTheTemptress · 02/02/2006 16:06

He rarely sees my boys now as I wont have anyone speak to them/about them like that. It caused some probs for a while but then i realised the easiest thing to do was not to try and stop him or change his views but to removed me and the kids from the situation.
